1. Navigate to the Pathway Web site: http://pathway.umkc.edu.
   
2. Click on Reset My Password.
   
   
   
3. Click the Recover Password button.
   
   
   
4. You will be taken to the following screen:
   
   
   
   Enter the requested information.
   
   
   • Only four of the five fields are required.
     
   • Press Enter on your keyboard after completing each box.
     
   • New students will not have a Security Question yet; a Security Question will be set up as part of this process.
   
   Click Next.
   
5. You will be taken to the following screen:
   
   
   
   Your name should be displayed in bold. Verify that the system has correctly identified you based on the information you provided in the previous step.
   
   Click Next.
   
6. You will now be able to set up a Security Question (if you have not set one yet).
   
   
   
   To set up your Security Question, follow these steps:
   
   
   • Select a question from the Question drop-down list.
     
   • Type your answer to that question in the Answer box.
     
   • Press Enter. The answer to your question will change to all asterisks (***) and the Continue button will become available.
     
   • Press Continue.
     
7. You will now be able to set up your initial password or new password.
   
   
   
   Note: There are lots of rules for the creation of a new password. These rules are explained on the password change page. A suggestion for creating a password that is comples, yet easy to remember, is to think of a sentence like, "I like green eggs and ham, Sam I am." Use this sentence to create the password: Ilgeah,SIa. This password meets all password complexity criteria.
